1. Isolation function
The isolation function of optocouplers can prevent the impact of high-voltage current fluctuations on the charger circuit, ensuring the stability and safety of the charger's operation. The isolation of optocouplers can also protect personnel and charger circuits, preventing electrical hazards.
2. Control function
The second optocoupler in the charger can control the charger, sense the battery voltage, determine the charging status, and make judgments and controls. This can improve the controllability and stability of the charger, enabling it to charge more reasonably and extend its lifespan.
In short, electric vehicle chargers need to be equipped with two optocouplers mainly to ensure safety and stability.
