Optocoupler, also known as optoelectronic isolator, abbreviated as optocoupler. Due to the fact that optocouplers transmit electrical signals through light as a medium, they have a good isolation effect on input and output electrical signals, making them widely used in various circuits. An optocoupler generally consists of three parts: light emission, light reception, and signal amplification. The input electrical signal drives the light-emitting diode (LED) to emit light of a certain wavelength, which is received by the photodetector to generate a photocurrent, and then further amplified before outputting. Provide feedback signals for the switch power supply in the electricity meter and communication functions for isolation signals between ICs. The commonly used models include TD817/816.
